Care 101

A guide in how to get the best use out of your candle! Maintaining your candles between burning is important to getting the most out of your candle.

  1. Inspect candle for cracks or damage.
    1. A slight crack in the glass can shatter fully when it is heated.
    2. If your candle is damaged please contact us at info@taylormadelifestyle.co
  2. Make sure your wick is the proper length!
    1. Before each burn, clip your wick with scissors or our limited edition wick trimmer to no more than 1/4”
      1. We advise that you wait to trim your wick once the candle has cooled to avoid debris falling into the wax.
  3. Burn on flat, even surface in an open space
    1. The ideal surface is even, heat safe, away from drafts, and out of reach of pets, children and wild or elaborate draperies.
  4. Use a long match or electric lighter to light your candle
  5. Burn candle for at least 2-3 hours each time
    1. his can create a little “memory ring” that can cause tunnel burning. Tunnel burning is when the candle will burn straight down like a little tunnel, leaving wasted wax along the sides of the jar. The best way to fix this is with a tin foil candle hat!
  6. Do not burn for longer than 5 hours at a time.
